December 6th. Fairs and events done for '23. Phew! Always a relief especially when the weather turns cold and unfriendly. It's been a good year again, 32 events and fairs in some super places. Seven shops have shelves or cabinets and there's always the British Craft House TBCH --search for cutlery.
2024 will be announced on this site, Facebook @forkemporium. Instagram #forkemporium
A big thank you to all who've followed us and bought things. Happy Christmas.

August. Timothy is 24. He and Walter are the Fork Emporium mascots. Here's a video from the Donkey Sanctuary, Sidmouth.
August 11th. Lucy in Sleaford tells us we have started well. We've sent a top up already. Louise in Mkt Harborough has asked for a bracelet top up before the middle of the month. Dave at Strelley soldiers on with similar sales without fail every month. Kez and Dave in Peterborough's Up the Garden Bath have gone off the chart (they make lovely planters out of old bathtubs as well as many other community activities.) They're open until end August, having a break and will open elsewhere in Queensgate later. The Place in Stamford is steady as ever and our longest, 7 years at Stamford Corn Exchange, our unofficial HQ is as good as ever.
Fairs and events. 17 completed with at least 12 more to do. A lot of gazebo events in a wet and windy summer but the punters are still game. If we reflect the economic climate then it's the ever popular rings and earrings which are selling more than the dearer bracelets and 'hangy things'. It's difficult to separate trend from disposable income but takings are still respectable. Ely Green in the grounds of the Cathedral, it rained all day but people still turned out to make it worthwhile. Amusing to hear grumbles about the heat at sunny Ashover this week.

The old VW ForkVan died. Meet the Fork Galaxy. 7 seats, all fold down flat, holds the lot, faster, more comfortable and we don't have the "You've got a van haven't you?" question.
Here's a Facebook reel from Up the Garden Bath, Quensgate P'boro. There's a larger one here on our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/reel/952652719365327 |

June. At last some summer. With barely a day between, from icy north east winds to typical British grumbles about the heat. The garden was waiting, then boom! to trading green wheelie bin space with the neighbours. It was farewell to the van after 4 years, not to be replaced unless one of those many competitions for VW campers shines on us.
We've done 10 fairs. Been lucky with the gazebo ones so far. 11 to go until end September and then casting a baleful eye at the silly, sorry, Xmas season.

Happy New Year to all!
January 1st
Had an email from someone saying we spell jewellery wrong. Quite often get offers to double or treble our sales worldwide and we're doing it all wrong. For now we have our log cabin workshop at the bottom of the garden and enjoy sourcing the material from antique centres and markets. We have our outlets below, online below and do about 30 fairs and events between April and November spilling over either side a tad. Draw a circle with the centre of Stamford, Lincs and radius 60 miles is our territory. Online covers the whole of UK.
Quiet time now until March. If any early events crop up they'll be posted on Events 2023. As always we are online with The British Craft House who have served us very well for three years. Run by hard working Dottie, she wangled TBCH a display including our bracelets at no 10 Downing St before Xmas.
As always the shops where we have a cabinet or a shelf; Stamford Corn Exchange Cafe & Shops, Pieces for Places, Barmouth, Created by Hand, Strelley Nottingham, The Place Stamford, The Artful Duck Raunds Northants.
We hope the postal problem is settled soon. We try for next day delivery or at least three days but all we know of got there eventually in December.
Wishing everybody a happy new year less fraught than the previous three.
